I was given this United States Forest Service map from my job at the Conservation District. I love the personal touch it brings to have a local map of my town. And this script seemed only too appropriate!
February can often be a boring month– but not on the Freedom Letter’s social media. 😉 This sign was the featured “giveaway” item that one lucky follow received for free.
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.
My wood sign, “It is well with my soul” script is the single most-popular sign so far in the Freedom Letters shop.
If you would like a similar sign, or you have an idea for another project, send me an email & tell me all about it!
For the past two years, one of my best buddies sends me a text at the end of the year: “Hey Becca, I have a mission if you choose to except it.” Um, YES please! He always asks me to make a photo booth back drop for our annual NYE party with friends.
This year, I realized that I excepted the “mission” while I was traveling on the other side of the state! With no craft stores around, and only a vague idea in my head, I went to the local hardware store to see what I could find.
I found out that all I needed was a roll of brown paper & a paint pen. So easy! This is my favorite backdrop to date, but I can’t wait to dream up the next one for 2020!
For the past three or four months, it’s been my privilege to design & create weekly verse cards for one of my best friend’s bible study. Gracie had about a dozen middle school to highschool girls that would meet every Monday to praise God & learn about His loving character.
When Gracie asked for my lettering, she also inspired me to copy her idea with my own group of 4th and 5th graders in my AWANA class.
It’s not only been a blessing to see others being blessed, but it’s such a learning experience for me as an example to younger women. I want my AWANA girls to see that I am not a leader who is only there to check off their bible verses. I am there with a desire to invest in their lives.
Need an idea for your bible study or Sunday School? Copy this! Go the extra mile for your students or fellow peers. Shine some light 🙂
I’m not sure what my expectation was for my first booth at the Chewelah Farmers Market Christmas Faire. But the outcome blew my mind!
If you don’t have a clue what the CFM Christmas Faire is, let me enlighten you. This craft faire is an annual event that the Chewelah Farmers Market puts on at Christmas time. It’s usually always on the first Saturday in December, and occurs in conjunction with the Chewelah City Sidewalks event. It’s a full day of community fun & local spending!
Over FOUR-HUNDRED DOLLARS was spent at the Freedom Letters booth, and I cannot express my gratitude enough. Many treasures found good homes– ornaments, signs, posters, magnets, greeting cards & more. From friends and family, to fellow businesses and the Chewelah community, everyone who stopped by truly blessed this small company and it’s owner.
Thank you to everyone who invested in Freedom Letters at the CFM Christmas Faire! Be sure to look for me there next year!
